Daniel Redman is a doctoral student and graduate teaching associate in Multicultural and Equity Studies in Education here at the Ohio State University. He also taught social studies in Hilliard City Schools, and teaches Social Studies Methods in Ohio State’s Integrated Social Studies teacher education program. His current research focuses on communities of learning in social justice and anti-racist professional development settings.
Erin Parsons-Christian is a second-year doctoral student in Counselor Education. She is interested in research that promotes innovative and effective high-quality holistic counseling services to marginalized clients and families in underserved communities. Her Research interests includes: multicultural curriculum and pedagogy, culturally competent training and supervision, and multicultural and social justice counseling advocacy, competency, and practice. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and has over 15 years of experience in the counseling profession.
Doricka L. Menefee is a doctoral candidate in the Adolescent, Post-Secondary Community Literacies program within the department of teaching and learning at The Ohio State University. She also taught high school Language Arts and Literacy in Wichita Kansas. Her research interests are the literacy practices of Black girls in and outside of classrooms, Black girl young adult literature, and Black maternal literacies.
